Guest guest
You sound like me....your testimonial on your health is just me...but what do your doctors give your for Anemia. I have been also dx'd with pernicious anemia...I detest red meat and the doctor told me to eat more red meat..but that is not good..red meat affects my joints and makes them hurt more. Does that make sense. And I cannot take iron..hurts my stomach...eeek...caught in a hard place, I think, I am!! I suffer greatly with DDD............have had so many surgeries, etc...and am planning a pain implant for pain this summer... More later. Hugs from Seattle and soon IDAHO Faithy -- Finally! Well, I had a physical with my GP this morning. I have no insurance, so she is the only doc I can see right now. She knows about my FM/CFS and other problems and has also been treating me for severe anemia for the past few months. The anemia is getting better but only very gradually. I have a prescription for Ultram and I'm finding that I really need it, even though I don't like how it makes me feel. I have also been taking about 2600 mg of Tylenol along with the Ultram for a few months, but I haven t found that it is helping any at all. I'm just leary of taking that much stuff that can ruin my liver! So, I finally asked about a muscle relaxant, and she gave me a prescription for generic Flexeril. So I sure am hoping that this will help. My neck has just been getting unbearable. I have DDD, and two of the discs in my cervical spine are all but gone, so I have bone grinding on bone which sets of tremendous pain, inflammation, spasms, and radiculopathies. I can barely read my own hand writing any more, but it still has not affected my ability to play my harps, aside from the fact that it hurts, but everything hurts, so what!! I also found out yesterday that the contract position I've been on for the past year will be over the end of the month. The fellow who placed me here thinks he might have another slot for me, doing pretty much the same thing at another location, so I am really hoping that will come through. Or something. I really need to find something that will provide insurance again. Wish me luck! Guest guest
Hi, Faith! Right now, I'm just taking 150 mg of slow-release iron tablets, but I did have about a two month supplies of samples my gyno's office game me of an iron supplement called Tandem. It is iron and something else (forget what) that helps with the iron absorption and makes it easier on the stomach. It is taken once a day and is about 160 mg, if I remember correctly. My GP says that my pain level might actually improve if we can get my iron levels back up because one of the symptoms of anemia is muscle and joint pain because your tissues are getting properly oxygenated. We shall see! Surely there is a good food source for iron other than red meat. Spinach maybe. That would be a good thing to look up. > > You sound like me....your testimonial on your health is just me...but what > do your doctors give your for Anemia.
