Guest guest
no sweets but.... i had 1/2 a butternut squash, 4 tablespoons on hummus (4g carbs) and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter (probably about 8 g carbs) and 1 hot dog (2g) without a bun. I hadn't eaten since 3 PM so i was starved but i really pigged out. ugh!!!! i guess i'm not over my binging behavior yet. gail
Guest guest
In Australia we consider butternut squash as a pumpkin. Tonight I made a roast beef dinner with all the trimmings. I very rarely do this as it's not worth it for just DH and myself - although he would disagree. DS joined us. I made roast potatoes, roast pumpkin, roast onions, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. I had some of everything. I considered it a real treat. Don't really care if it was cheating. It was good. The standard joke at our house is that if they say something was good, or if they like it, it could be 6 months before I make it again. When I asked tonight, they replied as a chorus - it was terrible, so you'll have to make it again next week. I'll see what effect those carbs had on me tomorrow. If not too bad, then I might consider making it again in a few weeks.
