Guest guest
I have taken robaxin as needed for years. For me it is a very gentle muscle relaxer. I usually take when I am in a rough situation, can't sit down to rest, stressful, too much walking, etc. I can feel it gradually loosen the muscles in my back and legs. That is just my experience-your experience my vary. Genle hugs, Marla In a message dated 3/14/2008 9:40:10 A.M. I try to explain that the meds make me like a zombie, but it seems he just don't care! I go to pain management clinic on the 27th and I'm getting nerveous to see what he is going to put me on, i hope he will understand my sensitivity to different meds, and is patient with me. why can't drs, be al little bit more understandable????? it is getting frustrating!!!!! thanks for listening! Guest guest
I have been taking some " borrowed " methocarbamol or Robaxin this week since my hip/lower back thing where I couldn't walk. I was at first taking one 500mg at bedtime, but when it got unbearable I took one during the day also, for a few days. I was able to function normally. I was afraid I'd end up in bed or leaning oddly in my chair while drooling and snoring, but it hasn't happened. Haven't had any stomach stress or dizziness or any bad effects. WHEN I find my new doctor I intend to request some. I had an Rx before and after my back surgery 8 years ago and found it to be mild, but effective. Now, it makes me feel almost human again. in Louisiana > thanks for that info marla, > i am hoping it is gentler on me, too, than the flexeril was. i > porbably will have to cut the tablets in half, tho, 750mgs i doubt i > can take at one time. > take care, > marg > > > > > > I have taken robaxin as needed for years. Guest guest
Hi Guys, It is true that after a while the meds stop working as well, and some stop working altogether. Believe it or not, this includes things like opiates for pain. I take Wellbutrin (200 mg x 2/day) for my PTSD, but it also helps some with the fibro. There is a product that I have tried only once called Wobenzyme. My wife takes it for pain in her knees and feet. I buy it from Nutrition Express (www.nutritionexpress.com). There are other supplements in there to check out. If some one wants, I'll post what I take in the way of supplements. Someone mentioned diabetes -- start eating Jerusalem artichokes (sometimes called Sunchokes). All you do is wash it and then thin slice it. It is good in salads or on its own. It contains a naturally occuring insulin. I'm growing them now, but have to wait until summer to start harvesting mine. Kind regards, Gene Krystal wrote: I have read somewhere that people with Fibromyalgia seem to develope tolerances to medications faster than others. Have you tried Zanaflex. Worked wonders for me for 2 months. I have a ton of flexaril left. I developed a tolerance in 1 month to that. Did not help and I was taking 3 of them at night. Still got over 100 pills left. Don't know what to do with them. But since I have been on the zanaflex it seems to help alot better. Hugs, Krystal
Guest guest
Sorry about the URL for Nutrition Express. Here it is again so you can just click on it (sometimes these old fingers get in the way -- I do wear a size 15.5 ring on the left hand and the right is larger). www.nutritionexpress.com Gene
