Guest guest
Becca -- I am reading the 3d edition of Teitelbaum's book right now and find his successes with different approaches very intriguing and hopeful. Did you stay on his " protocol " for long? Did anything ever work or help?? Cheryl M. > > Friends, > > In a recent post mentioned she had been to a Fibromyalgia and Fatigue Treatment Center. I have reviewed their website and wondered if anyone else has been to one of their centers. If so, I'd be delighted to hear about your experience. I am considering going. I have the book by Teitelbaum and went to a holistic doctor who put me on his supplements. I can only speak about my experience but the supplements and " vitamins " provided absolutely no relief. Can anyone else speak to this? > > Thanks, > Becca > > > --------------------------------- > How low will we go? Check out Yahoo! Guest guest
i have read both his books, bot the supplements, including d- ribose, none of them have helped me, and his vitalizing powder has alot of soy, which i have an allergy to. i emailed him directly with a question about florinef, he emailed me back. i emailed him a couple other questions, he did not email me back, they really want our money, badly, $390.00 per consult, out of pocket, they don't take insurance for consults. so i am sure he did not email me so i would make an apt with their clinic. he is the most comprehensive doc i have read, he does have fibro/cfids himself and had to drop out of med school when his started. so i think he makes alot of sense with most of his recommended supplements and especially his medical perspective about infections, blood clotting disorders and the rest of his medical approach, which i am just getting to, it is complicated. i was considering going to the detroit clinic, now i am not sure, they are bascially thiefs towards very, very sick people, charging what they charge. the only problem is, no other docs will dx and treat " out-of-the-box " like these docs hopefully should and do. becca or cheryl, will you please email me and let me know how it is f you do go. thanks! take care, marg > > > > Friends, > > > > In a recent post mentioned she had been to a > Fibromyalgia and Fatigue Treatment Center. Guest guest
Marg -- Sorry about the slow response, I don't get everyday and can't always get through the emails, but specifically checked to see if there was anymore word on the clinics and Dr. T, so found your msg I was supposed to travel to Portland OR clinic 3/17 but I could not even put transportation tog, let alone $$$$. I understand their theory re: ins when I talked with the office mgr, but that aside, I also spoke with the office mgr at Dr. T's office and I am going to do the long form for $99 and my dr is going to f/u w/their office as needed. I did get a pkg from the clinic with the 24 page questionnaire. That much info you can get just scheduling the appt whether you go or not. That at least gives any other dr a better idea of what questions they should be asking. After you do the long form, I can't remember if T actually looks at it or not, but what you get (from his vitality101 website) is a treatment plan. I have gone back to taking my magnesium malate and that alone seems to make a tremendous difference for me. I have not finished the books yet -- just so much self stuff guess we can do -- but curious about the ADD/ADHD discussion I glanced through here on the group list. I hope this helps.
