Guest guest
HI, Cheryl.... I AM moving BACK to ton, IDAHO...and HOW WELL I KNOW that I do not procure a doctor in ton. I might find one for a cold or flu..but for technical things like my SPINAL ISSUES...HA!! NO way will I go to a butcher in ton. Or if there is an emergency..and it is not controllable....but we know the drive to SPOKANE well...and to the VA hospital for my hubby, ALSO. I had endometriosis so terrible, when I was forty the pain was unbearable. My Primary care physician there in ton, told me that it was all in my head. I asked him for a second opinion recommendation and I wanted to go to SPOKANE. So he did. And he sent a letter to the doctor. The doctor was very rude at first...and said well, get up on the table and yadda yadda, etc...so when he preceded to examine me,.I came up off the table..it hurt so bad. He then said " You do have something there. " and I said NO KIDDING!! " Acatually, I said NO S***** but won't say that here. He ordered ultra sound. They found a tumor the size of a grapefruit. I came back for the results. And he sat there and calmly said " Well, you can let me take care of you here and you can get better or you can go back to ton, and let those doctors butcher you " Then he proceded to tell me what my PCP had said in the letter. That I was just a chronic complainer and neurotic housewife and that two weeks of rest would cure me. I was LIVID. I fired the ton doctor. And my parents still have him. Well, MOTHER, that is. She thinks he is wonderful. He has her addicted to NARCOTICS for arthritis. And she takes so much...I worry...and she argues with me. Well, how can I change that? And with my Father..well, the quack told HIM to have knee surgery....ha!!!! After knee surgery, Daddy went down hill...and died in less then one year...the oxygen got to his blood and his cancer spread...long story...I will not ever trust any one in ton. My husband and I moved up HERE to Seattle and I think it was divine intervention because I found good doctors here. BETTER CHOICES. Oh there are bad ones, too, but more choice... Thanks for the advice..it is WELL TAKEN. We are moving back to ton as I said...and I am keeping my NEUROSURGEON and my EYE SURGEON HERE in Seattle. I will not give them up. If I have to travel a thousand miles I WOULD...but only have to go about 350 i.e. the trip to Seattle from this point here. Where we live in Bothell..... PS my dh is doing all the packing..he is just so sweet. I just supervise.. LOL!!!!! Hugs and loves.. Oh, SOFT {{{{{{{FIBRO HUGS}}}}}}}}}}} so it doesn't hurt Faithy Subject: N. Idaho postings (I'm not sure how to edit out when I answer to group -- my response page does not show anything in the window!??) Anyway....for those who are moving to N Idaho, having lived in the area myself, I would definitely head to Spokane for medical, unless by some incredible fluke you find a really good doc in your area. Quickest way is to look in Spokane. Cheryl M.
