Guest guest
ok, so i called my doc and said i would like to rty the tramadol since i heard some people having good results. He called it in and i just got it. It says take every 6 hours as needed for pain. so here are my questions. 1) if when i still have pain after taking it can i still use my percoet, for breakthru pain? 2) do i take it every 6 hours or only when the pain is really bad and i cant handle it anymore? did anyone have bad side effects with this? Anything else youd like to add would be fine? I know everyone is different and im just looking for some answers. ~THANKS~TANYA~
Guest guest
, Take the Tramadol every 6hrs. If the pain is severe take your percocets. The medications work differently so you shouldn't have a problem. The Tramadol works on the substance p. I had no side effects. But you don't have the same feelings you get from vicodin and percocet. Good luck! JudyMer ---- mommy3xkittell wrote: > ok, so i called my doc and said i would like to rty the tramadol since > i heard some people having good results. He called it in and i just got > it. Guest guest
- I would take the tramadol every 6 hours as prescribed, and then if necessary add the percocet. Are you on 50 mg. every 6 hrs. or 100 mg? Hope it works for you w/o any bad side effects. Good luck. Guest guest
I have been using tramadol for the last six years. I take two in the morning, one at lunch and two at night (50 mg per tablet). I have had no side effects at all from this medication. It doesn't make me loopy, sleepy, or anything. It doesn't take the pain completely away but it usually takes it from an 8 without medication to a tolerable 4 or 5 with the medication. Good Luck N. Guest guest
*I don't think I would take Tramadol AND percocet. I'd ask your druggest or your doctor before you do that. They are both painkillers so you shouldn't combine them. Mine say every 4 hours. The first time I took it, I had a really bad headache but that hasn't happened since. Good luck and I hope it helps you. As a sidebar, I have to take either Ibuprofin or Naprosin along with the Tramadol in order for it to work.* *hugs* * in Phx* > ok, so i called my doc and said i would like to rty the tramadol since > i heard some people having good results. Guest guest
I took Tramadol + Tylenol for my neck injury and looking back, I wish I had it back and may ask my reg. Dr for it. It helped me feel better all together, as my aching seemed better. Guest guest
I am also allergic to narcotics including codeine. However, I am not allergic to ultram/tramadol, as it is a synthetic, not a true narcotic. I feel for you with the allergic reactions to both codeine and tramadol, but it's not necessarily always the case to be allergic to both the narcotic and the synthetic tramadol. Just don't want someone to miss the good benefits of tramadol, just because of a codeine allergy. girlsaylor > > I took it for a few days but I am allergic to codeine and when I took it > I broke out in hives and itched every where so I cant help much BUT I > can say if you are allergic to codeine DON'T take it! > > > Rise " Wampler
