Guest guest
I am usually a lurker and have been a little behind on reading the messages. I had a doctor that was up on the Fibo stuff and he has written articles and has conferences with other doctors to educate them on this MONSTER. Anyway, he says that Fibro and ADD are related and most of the time we have some relative that we know has ADD or we suspect that they do but they have never been diagnosed. They sometimes use ADD medications with Fibro patients because of this to see if it helps with memory fog and concentration that we sometimes have. I also have had two sons and my only brother diagnosed with ADD before I knew that I had Fibro. Anyway, you may have heard this also, but just thought in case you hadn't I would throw it in. I was shocked when he told me this since he did not know any of my family history with ADD. Have a great day. When I learned what cocaine does to a person, which is pretty much what you explained I thought why would anyone want to pay all that money for a drug that does that to you, and they have to do it every 10 mins or so! Hope you find something to work. Take Care Sharon > > Jeanne and Dave wrote: I think I'm giving up on the Adderall working. It's giving me some unpleasant side effects such as headache, nausea, excessive sweating, and possibly worse IBS-D. I'm seeing my psychiatrist on Wed. so we will discuss the next option. I know that Adderall is a combo drug - 2 others put into one pill. So maybe a different stimulant will work better. Ho-hum. I hate playing musical meds, but guess there is no other way to find what works. Hope you guys are having an OK day so far. > Jeanne in SE WI > >
Guest guest
Rhonda, That is interesting on the connection between ADD and Fibro. I have one son who is ADHD and the other is ADD. I myself am ADD, but have learned coping mechanisims and do not have to take meds to help me. My oldest is ADD, but has no insurance and HATES medication so will take nothing. My youngest is ADHD and cannot take any of the meds as he has the homicidal and suicidal side effects...wonderful huh? Meds work for him, except for those pesky side effects. So he is having to learn how to cope and function without the meds. Anyway, sorry, got off on a tangent there. Do you have any research that you could post a link to that I could read up on this connection? Thanks Christi Randall www.singingwomenoftexas.com Re: Adderall's a bust This sounds like it I am usually a lurker and have been a little behind on reading the messages.
