Hi Chris

I want to say welcome and say as much as I wish I didn't half to say

WELCOME to the world of FIBROMYALGIA! It comes and goes, and just when you

think you have a break and plan to do something fun, it attacks. So hang on and

don't enjoy the ride. I hope you have alot of better days then not. But I am

finding more and more days that I find myself hollering out for I am getting a

sharp pain jabbing in various places. Or I go to get up and can't as things

won't bend without a breaking feeling. Anyway the advice I did not take was to

take things slow, even if you feel good do things in moderation. Last summer I

weeded a sm. sm. area and raked a small patch of garden and the next day woke to

tremendous pain in my shoulders ribs back legs hands, I couldn't figure out what

was going on, as just taking steps hurt my shins to heck, I did not make the

connection that is was this little bit of work that had done this, as I have all

my life worked lifting, and pushing

hundred lb people around, have always been active and could not belive I have

come to this. I was told when diagnoised I needed to slow down, cut back on my

work, as I use to work way over 40 hrs, I loved my work, now I can't work 2hrs!,

I should of listened. Take Care of yourself and if like some others where you

HAVE to work, I fully encourage you to take time off at home, rest, let some

house chores go, [another very rough thing for me to let go} as I am a

compulsive cleaner, and love it. And don't be afraid to ask for help.. Hope

you lighter days Sharon

Hi

Well, you have just described my last three days!!!! The flares come out of

nowhere sometimes. Feeling great one minute, the next you feel like you've been

beaten with a tire iron. The exhaustion is what gets me too. My late afternoon,

I just want to come home and go to bed, but I don't necessarily sleep...I have

trouble doing that too. It's way fun. You are not alone.

triggers? Or something that causes an episode?

Hi there I am new to the group and I am so far thrilled to be among

others who seem to have the same symptoms as I do. I have had possibly

three episodes of severe aches.. that lasted two to three days.. so

far.

What causes this?

Is there a specific trigger? Or something I am doing wrong?

Is it diet?

Sometimes I am also so exhausted.

any advice would be fantastic.
