Guest guest
Hi all, Does anyone have success with using a chiropractor for relief of some of the pain associated with Fibromyalgia? My insurance covers it, so I am considering going to one. I have never seen one before, so this is new territory for me. Thanks for being here, F. Guest guest
, My chiro did wonders for my neck and shoulder...I have wanted to go back to him, but I have a $30 co pay and I haven't had it so I therefore haven't gone. Would be worth a try in my book...if you have a good one. /Mi Chiropractor Hi all, Does anyone have success with using a chiropractor for relief of some of the pain associated with Fibromyalgia? Guest guest
Hi and all, My insurance is one of those high deductible HSA accounts, with no copays. It is $2500 per year. The good part (if you call that good), is the meds for my RA cost $1600 a month, so by mid-February, I reach my deductible every year. I have an appt with the chiro next Wed. I chose a woman because I am more comfortable with one. Hopefully, she will be good and do me some good. Thanks for the info & sorry about your co-pay F. Guest guest
I just started seeing a chiropractor today actually for my Fibro. He seemed to be very good. When I asked if they treated Fibromyalgia they said to be sure to tell the doctor that was why I was there so they can use a different approach in treating you so they do not cause you more pain. He said he likes to start out a little at a time and work up to more as I can take it because I could leave or end up in a lot of pain. He said a lot of chiropractors will do that if they are not familiar with Fibro. They will just go ahead and try realigning everything and you will be really hurting. I went to one before I was diagnosed with Fibro and he went ahead and did all kinds of things and I left feeling less tightness but within a few hours I felt like I was hit by a truck and ran over. It was bad. So, be sure to find out if they treat Fibro because some do not and if so let them know that is why you are there. > > , > My chiro did wonders for my neck and shoulder...I have wanted to go back to him, but I have a $30 co pay and I haven't had it so I therefore haven't gone.
