Guest guest
Here is a link for a company that you might find helpful for a harness. You can also contact the transportation dept of the School Board to see if they have any info for you since they use them on the school buses. I believe you have to have the tethers installed in your vehicle for the harness to secure to. Good Luck.http://www.easywaysafetyservices.com/gpage11.html You may also want to consider ABA to reduce/eliminate the SIB and also to teach your son to keep the car seat belt on. If you would like info about ARC Broward’s ABA program, please contact Patty Eberhardt at . We would be very happy to help in any way we can!Regards, Preston, MS Director of Children's Services ARC Broward 10250 NW 53rd Street Sunrise, FL 33351 www.arcbroward.com Enriching the Lives of Individuals with disABILITIES since 1957... Guest guest
Hi all,Re 's last suggestion of ABA: IMHO, this is truly the way to go. My son was a little Houdini when he was younger and didn't want to stay in his car seat, there was no harness that he couldn't get out of. Working with him to not WANT to get out of his carseat because of the rewards he got (which we gradually faded out) was the only thing that worked. From: Preston To: sList Cc: Eberhardt Sent: Tue, February 8, 2011 8:02:10 AMSubject: RE: Need a Child Harness urgent Here is a link for a company that you might find helpful for a harness. Guest guest
Bed Bath and Beyond sells Sunshine Kids 30060 Child Seat Belt Guard. It is an alarm that sounds if the belt is unbuckled. My nephew who is ADHD was always getting out of his seat belt, so his mom told him anytime he could ride in the car without the alarm going off he could have a candy kiss (one of his favorite treats). It worked well for them. Glenda > > Hi all, > > Re 's last suggestion of ABA: IMHO, this is truly the way to go.
