Guest guest
That's what I don't get about my brother. When he calls and asks how I am I say " fine " . He then asks if I'm lying to him. well, if he already knows I'm lying to him than he should just take fine as an answer. Oooooo, families piss me off sometimes. I tried to explain to my mom one day and she held up her hands which are crippled with arthritis and said you can't possibly hurt more than I do! So.....I don't mention it. Now my DH does.....because I have started falling more and being more clumsy. When my mom asked him why that was? He said it was the fibro. So she'll get it eventually. I just figure that I have so many chronic issues that I don't talk about them to the family unless they ask, you know? My mom is upset that I'm on zoloft and klonipin, but the zoloft was given to me not so much for depression but for the cortisol overload (from stress) that I was under! If it has the byproduct of helping my mood, so be it. I hate though that so many of this group have had family fall-outs because of fibro. That's sad. First because family SHOULD be in our corner " no matter what " and second, sometimes, friends bail and we have no one else to turn to. With my sister in the healthcare industry (she's a nurse), I think she understands. I don't exaggerate my symptoms and DH is very very good about making me sit if we are at a family thing and he notices I am wearing out. Darlene > > > Teri, > I'm sorry you are going through the " family " thing. Starting on your kids...no way! Like I said, it's their loss! It is hard from time to time, but you just can't dwell on it. It is up to ourselves to make ourselves happy. I have bad days thinking about it, but I get over it too and move on...you have to. > Take care, > /Mi > > >
