Guest guest
We LOVE those quieter fibro days. I hope you get many more of them. Tigger (Ruth) in Rhode Island _____ From: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group [mailto:Fibromyalgia_Support_Group ] On Behalf Of Tabi D Sent: Tuesday, March 18, 2008 10:12 AM To: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group Subject: hello I have not written in for awhile though I have been reading the posts. I just thought I would take a moment and let you all know I am still here and doing ok. The FM seems to be a little quieter than it had been for awhile. I am on 20 mgs of Kadian...which has been wonderful. My pain level has definitely dropped. However, my fatigue and brain fog are still there....guess there is really nothing that can be done for that though. Can't have it all. I do have a neighbor though that thinks I should cook, clean, and do the laundry even if I can't move an inch! Course, she was raised in the era where women did that kind of thing no matter what. She is 65. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and hope you all have a pain-free day. Tabi D <)))><
Guest guest
Tabi, I know that I can't just go go go anymore either. So what I do with the housework is space it out during the week, if that makes sense, with lots of breaks in between. I do manage to cook for my family, but I utilize my slow cooker A LOT. As an example of how I might take care of the house - if I go thru the kitchen, I may go ahead and reset the coffee pot and wipe down the stove. The next time, I might unload the dishwasher. The next time after that, reload the dishwasher and wipe down the counters. Voila! My kitchen is clean!!! As for my living room, it doesn't take much - just making sure the blankies are folded up and where they belong, no empty items, that kind of thing. I make the bed as I go thru to the bathroom. I don't worry about the sweeping - DH does that so I don't trigger back spasms (doncha love this disease???) and we collaborate on the laundry. Since everyone is gone every day (except me) and I clean up after myself, the house doesn't get too messy! You just have to be careful with gingo because it has a blood thinning property and you can't take it if taking other blood thinners such aspirin/coumadin/or large doses Ibuprophen. > Hope this helps!
