Guest guest
Hello:I appreciate all your comments and support! The link below has some reviews about schools and also my input for Sheridan Park, but most important. it is not only one school, there are several schools that have the need to be more proactive and push the clusters to an acceptable level of learning environment for children with disabilities.I keep putting my input with objectivity and fairness. We need to keep "fighting for their rights" There is out there a very comfort level and they are not listening. I feel that there are covering holes and putting off fires case by case but not looking at the whole picture. They are making a mistake.Thank you allhttp://www.education.com/schoolfinder/us/florida/hollywood/sheridan-park-elementary-school/#reviews
Guest guest
Hi guys, You may find this person helpful in your desire for a fair education for your children. She is local, and seems to be quite empathetic to these needs. http://makingschoolwork.com/ Message to Parents July 7, 2009 Dear Parent: I am a parent who has a learning disability. I know what it’s like to struggle in school without the appropriate learning support. I was left back in second grade due to my difficulties with reading. My teachers knew only that I was unable to learn at the same rate as my peers, but did not know that with help targeted to meet my unique needs I could excel in school. It seems hard to believe now, given my Masters and Law degrees, but at some point in elementary school the school psychologist told my parents that I was not capable of going to college. Having my own children now, I can imagine my parents’ heartbreak. My learning disability was not understood most of my life, but I am lucky to have a disability that can be aided by certain accommodations and lots of hard work. I know that your child may not be as fortunate. That is why I have dedicated my career to helping children like your own. And Florida School Partners has done so all over the State. Please give me the opportunity to speak with you and explain how we can make school work for your child. Call me at or email me at Hertog@.... Sincerely, Hertog Founder, Florida School Partners, P.L. Please contact Hertog by phone, fax or email to discuss your child’s special education needs. Guest guest
I'm new in the area, and I'm still not convinced my son is in the school that will give him the most. Does anybody have any knowledge or comments about the Autism Cluster @ Sandpiper Elementary in Sunrise? What I found in Education.com was not very much. Thanks Carolina Hello:I appreciate all your comments and support!
