I take advil but really not supposed too.. tylenol does nothing for my pain..Check with your dr about this, I guess it makes you retain water that raises BP.. hope this helps, Gretchen

I take Lodine twice a day and never have had trouble with my blood pressure. Insomnia though can cause increased stress which in turn may increase blood pressure. hugs, Debbie L
Guest guest
thanks debbie and gretchen, it was just on 60 minutes sunday night about how poor quality sleep not only causes the known cognitive problems but also is causing type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and other physical problems, too. and since my last sleep/mlst test was a waste, and a couple nurses have asked me if my blood pressure has been high...something needs to get figured out. i really beleive it is the insomnia, and maybe hormone changes. my boobs aren't sore and i barely have periods, maybe low estrogen causes changes in heart rate and blood pressure? i will start reading about it. take care, marg > Hi Marg, > NSAIDs can cause our heart rates to go up but not our blood pressure.
