StudentAffairs.com is pleased to announce two Webinars by Dr. Jane Thierfeld Brown, Director of Student Services at the University of Connecticut School of Law, one of the principles of the website, collegeautismspectrum.com, and co-author of the book, “Students with Asperger’s: A Guide for College Professionals."The first Webinar, "Students with Autism/Aspergers: Beyond the Basics" will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. EST. The Webinar will discuss students with Autism Spectrum Disorders beyond just the definitions and prevalence rates. We will focus on three primary areas on college and university campuses for students on the spectrum -- social relationships, residence life, and conduct. The second Webinar, "Students with Autism/Aspergers Case by Case Q & A" will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. EST. Your students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) have been on campus for a semester and there are now more complicated issues and questions. This is an advanced webinar to discuss residence hall issues, academic/classroom concerns, student conduct issues, counseling issues, etc. Questions/concerns will be able to be sent before the Webinar date. We will also leave time for questions to be answered during the session.The cost is $90.00, but a 10% discount will be given for registering for both Webinars.
