I was recently Dx with Fibro. The rheumy does not treat it and does

not do pain management. I called most of the rheumy in the are aand

non touch fibro. They suggested a pain management Doctor. I called a

few but they will not see me without a referral from a doctor.

Red tape sucks.

I have an appt with my PCP to ask for help. I have had a headache for

three weeks and nothing has helped. The first rheumy did give my

Ulstram which did nothing for me.

I am afraid to ask for pain medication from my PCP. I have a high

tolerance for pain meds and Vicoden and perkocet do not work.

I do nto want to be seen as a nut looking for a quick fix.

Any suggestions? What has worked for others in the past?

*I would simply say i need to get my pain under control and tell him what

has not worked in the past. I would not outright ask for pain meds, as this

might give the wrong impression. that has been my experience. I wish you

luck and will be saying some extra prayers.*

*Hugs,*
