Guest guest
Hi Ida,I wanted to introduce myself. I am the new Market Manager for SafetyNet by Lojack and would be interested in assisting financial support for your effort and in providing great fundraising ideas as well. My goal is to reach as many families who have kids with autism who are at risk of wandering and educate them on the service that our company provides with the partnership of the Broward police. I am sure we can work together to both get our goals accomplished. I can be reached at . I can also be reached via e-mail at . I would be very interested in presenting SafetyNet to CARD but am still trying to get my foot in the door. If you know key players there, please advise. I would like to partner with CARD in the events they have planned for the year. Dear Listmates, As many of you know, CARD offers play groups (run by therapists) for age groups 2 and 4 (and they do a great job) and then for the teenagers but there is nothing for the 6-8 years old group due to budget constraints. I spoke today to Sotelo and asked her if we could make a paid group FOR THE 6-8 but she explained that CARD is not allowed to receive payment for services. So, I asked if a group of parents raised the funds, could we create the group then? She said yes!! She herself may be the one to run the group. So, if you have a child ages 6-8 who needs to work on his play skills and would like to see this happen, please contact me so we can organize ourselves and see how we can raise the funds. Basically, we would need to raise about $400 per child for an 8-week session which meets twice per week. (That's like $25 per each session, per child, not bad.) We would need a group of 6 kids. I guess if more parents are interested or if the skills of the children involved vary, we could create a second group(?) Any one up to the challenge? Fund raising ideas are welcome too( - : Ida Kessler Natalia Pelaeznatalia0315@...

Guest guest
Before signing with LoJack, I would highly encourage you to research Project Lifesaver. Go to www.projectlifesaver.org My son has been Project Lifesaver client since 1999 when the program was first developed in Chesapeake, VA. Shortly after my son was enrolled in the program, I began volunteering for it and was the first employee hired by Chief Gene Saunders, Founder and CEO. If you are looking for a contact for Project Lifesaver in Florida, I am including information for Damone which you'll see below. We have many other Project Lifesaver agencies in Florida and other states as well as international agencies; if you would like to have information on these other agencies, please email me at: sproffitt@... or call me at , ext. 108.
