Guest guest
Connie, I also keep a log of all my meds w/doses, etc. I don't use a pill box because some of my meds are inhalers (I have COPD and asthma) so what I've done is " segregate " my meds. The stuff I take once a day is in the breadbox (don't laugh); the stuff I take twice a day is on top of the breadbox and when I take the am dose I flip it upside down so its a visual reminder that I have to take another dose. My nighttime meds are on my headboard. I literally carry my Lyrica back and forth. So far, it's been working very very well. I wish I could use a pill box but that's okay. I also did up a Medical Alert page in red that is very visible in my purse. It shows what I'm allergic to, what I take (not doses though) and what my dx are. I also have that I have a current flu shot, etc. on it because I cannot trust my memory when it comes to the last tetanus, etc. And my daily calendar has little notes in it as well to help me remember things. At least I know I'm not going crazy which is what I thought at first, you know? Darlene > > Hi and welcome from another newbie! I have learned so very much since joining a few days ago that my head feels like it will tip over! As to the fog and trying to remember stuff. I keep a diary of important stuff very close at hand, and I put my and my husband's meds in a pill box set up for the week, he takes so many and so many thru the day that he has a pill box that has take out sections for each day, the day is divided into morn, noon, eve, bed. It is so very handy, you just cannot believe it. You keep track of the pills better, don't have to remember if you took something, just look in the box, and I have a complete list of the meds he takes on the computer database that I made up from the template so that when he goes to the doc I can just print up the list of pills. I have the database set up to show how stuff has been working and what the results have been too, and I have a couple of reports made up that I can print at any time to show the complete list with the notes to the doc, or just the pill box list to hang in my medicine cabinet for me to fill the box each week. > > I did not know a thing about this brain fog, I just knew that I was having difficulty remembering stuff, so I just started making myself different types of notes, this database is working for me nicely, and try the pill box thing too, I get mine from the big pharmacy in town, there are about 3 dozen different types. > > Hope this helps, and keep learning, you are not alone! > Connie > >
