OMG, you are the first one I've ever heard say that you have a high

tolerance for pain meds. All Vicoden does for me is wind me up. My doctors

are afraid to prescribe just about anything these days. I feel the same

way. I want my pain managed, I don't want to be viewed as a drug seeker. If

you find something that does work, let me know

Subject: What should I ask my PCP for?

I was recently Dx with Fibro. The rheumy does not treat it and does

not do pain management. I called most of the rheumy in the are aand

non touch fibro. They suggested a pain management Doctor. I called a

few but they will not see me without a referral from a doctor.

Red tape sucks.

I have an appt with my PCP to ask for help. I have had a headache for

three weeks and nothing has helped. The first rheumy did give my

Ulstram which did nothing for me.

I am afraid to ask for pain medication from my PCP. I have a high

tolerance for pain meds and Vicoden and perkocet do not work.

I do nto want to be seen as a nut looking for a quick fix.

Any suggestions? What has worked for others in the past?

Vicoden has never done a thing for me - might as well give me candy LOL.
