Guest guest
Gretchen, I have been on Lyrica for only a week so I can not say if it works or not: I only know I can give you a number posted earlier from someone else; I was luck that my insurance is paying for mine with prior autro. Lyrica (Pfizer) has a program called connection to care. they give you lyrice free or reduced depending on your income. The web site is www.connectiontocar e.com or call this nimber 1-. I just got a 3 month supply. Hi.. how much does Lyrica cost? Will it help like it says? Guest guest
I have been on Lyrica for 3 months. It takes some of the edde off the pain but not much. Bad thing is for me makes me groggy and more foggy than usual. Doesn't bother my IBS tho so that is a plus. I am only taking 225mg a day so that may be way it doesn't help me much. It is free for me from Pfizer and helps some so I will continue taking it. Candi in Idaho > Hi.. how much does Lyrica cost? Will it help like it says? Guest guest
Hi Gretchen, I'm on lyrica, I started it in Jan. It took awhile to see any results from it and also to increase the dosage. I'm feeling so much better, so much more energy, and sleeping so much better. I do still have some pain when I get up in the morning, when a low pressure approaches, and I'm stiff after sitting awhile. I don't think anything will totally take away the pain, but I am satisfied with the improvement I have made after this long, painful winter. The cost is high. My co-pay for a month is $45. Hope this helps. I would like to add that I also take cymbalta and that also helps with sleep and pain. Guest guest
I am on my 2nd month of the full dose of Lyrica. I have a prescription drug card so only pay a portion of the total cost so can't answer the cost question. It seems to be helping me. I have been having some break-thru pain but I believe it is because I spent a week in the hospital in one of those lovely beds vs. my bed that has a memory foam topper. Most of the time, on the Lyrica, the tender spots aren't tender, except for my neck head and shoulders. Granny of six, they may need to adjust your dosage. I take a total of 300 mg (150 2x a day). I haven't noticed the grogginess except when I first started taking it. Hope that helps. Darlene > > I have been on Lyrica for 3 months. It takes some of the edde off the pain but not much. Guest guest
Hi all - I've been on Lyrica since August of last year. I recently made it to 400/mg day and I may have to go up another 100. It has done a lot for me. More for the neuropathy/fibro (?) in my legs and feet than anything else although I have noticed that the pain on the insides of my elbows and knees are almost gone. I've also been able to go off the Cymbalta and back to the Celexa (cost factor) and the pain in my shoulders hasn't been as bad so the Lyrica has to be working on the fibro as well. Do I still get flares? You betcha - but I think overall they don't last as long. I know I will be on Lyrica for life. That said - increase your dosage very slowly if you can. It took me 6 months to get to 400. Once I got over 200 the increases of 100 at a time took less time to get used to but it was not an easy drug to get used to. But I DID get used to it. I've been very fortunate in that my doctor worked with me and would not increase the dosage until I was fully adapted to the old dosage. Cost is pricey. My copay is $50/mo. That's a lot of money to most of us! hugs Judy Thurow wrote: Hi Gretchen, I'm on lyrica, I started it in Jan. It took awhile to see any results from it and also to increase the dosage.
