I remember seeing on here a week or so ago, maybe longer about trying to find a

dentist in the West Palm area who can treat our kiddos and takes Medicaid.

Well, I found one! I was thrilled.

They require a referral from your pediatrician, but I gotta say they were great.

From their website, you'd not figure out who they are, and honestly, I'm not

even sure how I found them. I just wanted to get my little man who had a

possible absess according to his pediatrician seen and seen by someone right

away. Lucked out that this doc is an actual specialist.

Dr. Nilsa H. Toledo

The Wellington Institute

12983 Southern Blvd., Suite 203

West Palm Beach, FL 33470

Turns out little man had a lot more teeth problems than I could have imagined,

in fact, it's suprising he was able to eat. After just under a year without

going to a dentist (and yes, he brushes), he has 2 cracked teeth, a ton of

cavities and needs a few teeth pulled. They are scheduling him for surgery

under general.

I was really impressed with them. 1. They let my fiance go back with him for

his x-rays (I'm 9 month's pregnant so I couldn't go back), the first thing they

did was ask how was he at following directions, and if it may bother him too

much. 2. When he was done with x-rays we switched and I went back, they let me

stay with him, and they explained everything to him, every piece of equipment,

what they were doing, why, and they let him ask questions, inspect what they

were using, it was great. 3. Dr. Toledo explained to me just how bad his teeth

were and that she was a specialist and what she wanted to do and why under

general.

Okay, so that's my impression and her contact info. She only has office hours 2

days a week (tuesdays and Thursdays), but I can definitely say I like her

attitude and will be getting a referral for my younger man to see her as well.

I'll have to find a different dentist for my daughter since she's NT, but hey,

that's okay, my boys now have a dentist!

Sorry for so long winded, hope this helps someone. I know I was thrilled.

Marie,Good to hear it. You mentioned your son needs dental surgery under general anesthesia.Does that mean this dentist does in-hospital dentistry?EileenSubject: Dentist - West Palm Area - Found One! (Accepts Medicaid)To: sList Date: Thursday, February 17, 2011, 2:04 PM
