Guest guest
Thanks Jill. I'm thinking my number will be kind of low as well, because I'm used to having the thick memory foam topper to cushion me. Did you assemble your bed yourself? I didn't want to pay the extra for getting it assembled. Jeanne in WI I bought a sleep number bed 3 years ago. It is the best bed ever!!!! My sleep number is 0.......I need it super soft. It's great since my husband can adjust to whatever he wants. I can't imagine having another bed! Jeanne, you are going to love it.....you will never get out of bed again. Guest guest
I have a sleep number bed. Have had it for about 3 years. I like it. My number is 35 or 40. And yes, you can put it together yourself, but you will need help. It is a two person job. My son and I have put mine together. Guest guest
We had it put together because my husband and I do NOT have the patience for that kind of stuff. If you guys are handy, I would say you could do it. It's really heavy though......at least that's what I was told by the movers when we moved out of state. Jill/your sleep number bed Thanks Jill. Guest guest
We started out four years ago with a sleep number bed. First one was a queen, which I quickly discovered was not good for me! Because dh was so over weight and his number much lower than mine, it felt as if I were sleeping on a very old mattress that sagged in the middle. Then, I discovered when I went back to the single bed I had been sleeping in for several months, the sides on the regular queen are actually smaller than a twin bed! So, we finally ordered another one, this time a double for me. I somes have my number as high as 85 or so --- I am so used to a very firm mattress that I need the higher number. I can say that DH put both of them together with little or no help from me! He is thinking! Ha, this is a joke that when we move at the end of june, he won't have to take them apart but I disagree! We had sleep on his sister temperapedic but he didn't like that and I didn't find it that comfortable either --- although I do like the idea of have a control so that you can raise the head to different positions. Now that I have made that comment, I fear I must go to bed! I was out side for a few minutes, don't know if that is what triggered the beginning of a headache, but it could also be the change in the barometric pressure in the area. Temps were cold this am and now it looks as if it is clouding over. And to any of you who live in one of the areas that is experiencing so much flooding, my prayers go out to you! I spoke to a friend and a former neighbor at home and it seems everyone was stuck -- the high way that connects the towns in the area were closed, the grocery stores and one or two others had standing water in them. My friend said it was the worst he could remember. Take care all, this pain is going down the left side of my face all the way to the bottom of my jaw!!! But good luck to anyone looking for a new bed!! That's one of the most important pieces of furniture we all have --- spending at least 1/3 of each day in it, it should give one the support and comfort they need. > > I have a sleep number bed. Guest guest
Select Comfort also makes a bed that raises the head of the bed and bottom.....of course it is top $$$$$ Jill/your sleep number bed > > Thanks Jill. But if we get one for both of us, I do think it will have to be a California king although DH'S aunt & uncle said they make a California queen that is wider and longer than the standard queen. I don't need the foot raised but think being able to adjust the head would really help! With the osteoarthritis in my neck, I have trouble geting in a comfortable position. > > >
