Guest guest
That is certainly good news that you have found a doctor who will believe you and try to relieve some of your symptoms. I hope it is not lupus or lymes disease. Elavil is amitriptyline which is commonly prescribed. It is originally one of the first antidepressants but is not prescribed for that much anymore because it tends to make us sleepy. (also there is just a better line of antidepressants now days). It is also prescribed for sleep and sometimes for nerve pain. ( I am not sure how effective it is for nerve pain). hugs, Debra V. rorasmom wrote: Went to new Rhemey today.. nice indian man. says I definity have fibromyalgia but not sure about RA... took about 15 viles of blood from me and took fluid out of left knee {ouch} and xray on knee and prescirbed Envril for sleep {never heard of it} He that my fibro might be from another disease. See, all that worrying for nothin.' <grin> I have an anxiety disorder myself, so I know about the worries and feeling scared. So glad the RH is a nice man and believes in your pain. Take care.
