Guest guest
I was just reading the experience of having to see Mental health for SDD, and if this is what they will ask me counting backwards, presidents, things like that, I would not be able to help him out at all, Math was and is my worse subject, gives me a headache, when I was in school they decided to teach that NEW MATH, so I never learned algerbra or things important, the president " s that has all gone out the window with my natural hair color, I don't hang on to much in my mind these days except the mind game of trying to trick my brain into thinking it is alright and hope I feel better tommorow! So what happens to us that get called to make the visit with these Dr's sitting in the big chair behind the cluttered chair? I wish they would just give us what is due to us without such a stressfull fight, as it is most of us are hoping the heck we don't end up on the street's before getting approved, and if we did feel good enough to go to work a day or two in the mean time to save ourselves we get denied, yet once on your allowed to bring in is it 7,000. a yr on top of check, so what makes it okay after but not during wait period,? Wish you all a fast approval. Sharon wrote: > > Well I just realized that the doctor they are sending me to; or the health center because they didn't name one doctor; is a mental health center. Then again, they don't know I'm seeing them because I started seeing them after all the paperwork was done. Either way, I'm anxious about seeing a 3rd one. Then again, I was anxious about seeing the two the first time. > > Did I also mention I have an Assemblywoman and a Senator both on my case? Well their staff is; seeing what they can do. I'm hoping that's a good thing. I don't know what to think at the moment. > > Angie Harley Mama Double-D > Angie, don't worry about the mental health center. I saw a pyschologist and because I have had so many psychologists, 3 psychiatrists, etc. I was for whatever reason, into giving the guy sitting there in his big over size chair, behind his littered, oversize desk bit of extra information when he asked me a few questions. One was to count backwards, starting with subtracting 7 from 100 and each number there after by 7 until he told me to stop. Well, I figured that out by subtracting, mentally, 3 or 4 from the previous # and then which ever # I had not used, I did the other to get the answer --- didn't matter whether he knew what I was doing mentally, but because I was rattling those #'s off so fast, he stopped me before I got into the 60's. Then there was a question about a president -- the answer was Lincoln, so I added some personal info about my great, great grandmother's relationship with Lincoln. Had he asked something about President Truman, I had connections I could have added to that -- # 1 was that I was born on Harry's first birthday as President, which just so happened to be V-E day. I am not so sure those guys really pay much attention to your answers -- but I was afraid that I had used my smart mouth one time too many; but I was awarded the disability with in the next month or so. And I am pretty certain, if you have seen a number of individuals in the field, you have answered the questions more than one time, so treat it like a game. And I still have to question why these doctors do this work --- I think the guy I saw was in one of those, oh! what's the right expression --- just a swinging door type of office. And what ever SS pays them is a supplement to their income so they are just padding their income. But if you have politicos on your side, you have an even better chance because they can put pressure on the adjudicators to decided in your favor. (They believe, rightly or not, that you will support them the next time they are up for election!)
Guest guest
LOL Sharon, I think I can handle the math; depending on how fast they want the answers. As for the presidents, I would have maybe got Lincoln right but I doubt Truman. Depends on which president is the answer. My next question is; what difference do the right or wrong answers make?
