Guest guest
This is a non-profit organization that raises and trains puppies to become guide dogs for visually impared people. I'm a raiser (actually, planning to get my second puppy to raise in September) and thought I'd post the link for the Northern Virginia's local group (this is the Domininion Region.) It's a wonderful organization with some of the most giving and dedicated people I've ever met. My 17 year old son and I raised our first puppy last year and this time my 12 year old is also interested in helping with the raising. If you love dogs, would like a way to help others, check out the website. GEB has regions from New England down through North Carolina. The group meets about twice a month, there is constant support, you'll learn amazing ways to raise and train puppies, and really have a great time. Anyway, since my family and I are totally excited about our new puppy and I know many people may have never heard of doing this, I thought I'd give a quick post. (They have a very active homeschooling group as well as offering college scholarships for kids who've been raisers.) If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask me! http://www.gebdominion.org/index.htm
