Guest guest
Welcome Hinky. Are you male or female? I've been on Cymbalta for about 5 yrs now. I went on it very soon after it came on the market. It works well for my depression and helps with pain level as well. This past November, my doc increased my dose from 60 mg. a day, to 60 mg. twice a day. I don't absorb meds the same as regular people because I've had a gastric bypass. So, raising my dose helped. I hope you have continued success with it for many more years. Take care. Jeanne in WI Hi ya'll, I'm Hinky and I've had Fibro for about 15-17 years. I had been on Elavil & Flexrl for ever it seems. It really didn't do much for me as I stayed in pain from morning till night. Well, I was just diagnoised with Long QT syndrom ( you may or may not have heard of it) anyway there are certain drugs I can't have well, elavil was one of them!! The have put me on cymbalta and I've been taking it for about a month now and I can't believe the difference it has made in my pain level!!!! I really haven't had any side effects either. Has anyone in this group taken this and does it keep working after you've been on it for a long time??? I saw a Neroligist, and he's the one who put me on it. Please give me any insight on this medicene that you can, thanks so much ya'll Hinky
Guest guest
--Hi Jeanne, I'm a female last time I checked, some days I don't know what I am....LOL I think that big old Fibro bug is just what I imagine myself looking like some days... I'm so glad that the Cymbalta is still helping you.... THAT is what i was afraid of, that it would stop working after a period of time. I know we all are different in how meds. effect us and I was hoping SOMEONE would be on here that has been on it for awhile and it is still helping....Yeah... My Dr. told be I could up my dose if I had a bad fibro day. he said it would help the pain if it was worse than usual. so I may do that if that ever occures. Thanks so much for responding!!!! Guest guest
Hi Hinky, I have been on the cymbalta now for 2 months and things are somewhat better. I have been of the computer for a few days due to the storms in GA last saturday 17 comfirmed tornadoes and one really bad fibro flare. ya;ll should have seen me try to run to the car in hale, my grandson was yelling in one direction and the funnel cloud was in sight. By the grace of God it missed us but i won't run ever again.lol Diane GA. --- Jeanne and Dave wrote: > Welcome Hinky. Are you male or female? > I've been on Cymbalta for about 5 yrs now.
