Hi....I am the mom to two young boys, ages 9 and 11. I've posted

here before but mostly just read...btw thanks for all the great advice.

anyway, most of my efforts in helping my kids has focussed on my 9 yr

old son because he is the one dx with apraxia/pddnos. He is doing

great...reg ed classroom, plays pop warner football, just started

basketball. we are still working on some things but I couldn't be

happier with his progress, esp when I drop him off at fottball

practice to witness him run up to a teammate and they hi-five each

other....just so joyous to a mom who thought she'd never see this for

her son. O.K.....well then there is my 11 yr old son.....he has never

had a dx and attends catholic school so has never had any help. I

brang him for eval way back when he was younger because he definitely

has some sensory-type problems and they said that he was absolutely

fine, definitely nowhere on the austism spectrum(I was thinking

aspergers-ish) He is very very intelligent, he does have friends but

he will not play any type of sport. He runs funny, like he doesn't

really bend his legs at the knees...at school, i think he is

overwhelmed in the caf....i know he spends alot of recess time reading

alone, which really bothers me. After reading up on dyspraxia (not

speech) i feel like this fits him. What can I do to help him at this

age...I am ashamed that I haven't did anything yet. I have just bought

carnaware and am hoping that helps, but what else could I be doing?

thanks...and sorry this was so long....rita
