Guest guest
Does anyone else get a super runny nose while using the bathroom, specifically during a bowel movement? I don't know if it's the Fibro or the end effect of one of my medications as it moves through my colon. I've long suspected it may be related to the Hydrocodone, but have not researched it in depth yet.

But I don't ahve Hydrocodone or anything similar either. Noe of the meds I am on don't cause that, also. Debbie L

No, but I had weight loss surgery 2.5 years ago, and my nose runs now every time I eat. There's some sort of connection with nerves or something between intestines and nose. In traditional Chinese medicine (aka acupuncture), there's a definite connection between colon and nose. In fact, if you've ever gotten zits at the corners of your nose when you're constipated, you're seeing that connection. The corners of your nose are acupuncture points. Guest guest
i have a hedgehog! Re: Runny Nose Syndrome The corners of your nose are acupuncture > points. > (Hmmmmm, thinks to self, Hey! I have a box of straight pins in the desk drawer) ------------------------------------ 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe 4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Here at the house the bathroom is also referred to as the " library " since not every visit is a short one, might as well put the time to good use The bummer is that while I am reading the flood gates open and my nose runs enough to fill a shot glass (TMI) and I have to be careful not to get the reading material gooed up. Since having the runny nose problem, our TP use has doubled, not sure if this is humorous yet or not.
