Guest guest
Hello Everyone, >I've just been observing for about a week now, and I it's nice to relate in so many areas with most of you. I have felt so isolated till now, my family seems like they are trying to understand, but I try not to complain to much so I don't get like one of those people who complain constantly. You know those people you can't stand.....So I just keep it to myself till someone asks mostly! I have a multitued of different problems:Fibro being foremost---Severe Disc Degeneration in 2 discs---Plantar facitis in my feet---Depression, of course---Osteoarthritis in all my joints---Pinched nerve in my back---Tendonitis in the tops of my feet and in my ankles and inflamation of the nerve endings in most of my body--Acid reflux--Knee problems--Allergies and sinus inflammation--and last but not least, like all of you, trouble sleeping. >I have two grown sons, a dog--who's my buddy, and a husband and a marriage that is on the fence after 32 yrs......for a few reasons, some of which are my health problems and my husbands inability to cope with not being able to help, which causes frustrations for him also. >I hope that I haven't depressed most of you even more than you are...I hope not. I look forward to getting to know a lot of you, I hope in the future!!!Thanks for listening.....I don't get on everyday, for the same reasons as you, and I need a more comfortable chair, You can't be to comfortable when your butt along with everything else goes numb, HAHAHA!!!! Guest guest
Hi Pam, and welcome...I have most of the same problems you do, minus the disc and pinched nerve problems!! Isn't it fun??? Do you work outside the home? Where are you from? I'm a full time Nanny and live in yukky Michigan!! Take care, /Mi New to group, About me Hello Everyone, >I've just been observing for about a week now, and I it's nice to relate in so many areas with most of you. Guest guest
Pam, I'm really sorry about your marriage. It's convenient when a spouse forgets the " In sickness and health " part of the vows. I do have empathy for those who have spouse's who are chronically ill as I'm sure it's no picnic, but step up to the plate and do the right thing! Sometimes I've wondered how much longer my husband is going to stick around. My side of the family is all dead, so I have no one but my husband. If he leaves, I have know clue how I'll support my kids and myself. It definitely keeps me awake at night, just like posted yesterday. I also have Plantar Faciitis.......it's SEVERE! Have you found anything that helps you? I can't believe how painful it is. And, I also have really bad knees too. I've had 8 knee surgeries and need total replacements, but they say I'm too young and have to wait. What's wrong with your knees? Welcome to the group!! Guest guest
Jill, I have the plantar faciatis too....when it starts to act up..I have a couple pairs of White Mountain slides. They have a 2 and 1/2 inch wedge and are sooo comfortable. My dr told me to always wear shoes with at least a 2 inch heel and do the heel stretches. It's a pain...literally. /Mi New to group, About me Hello Everyone, >I've just been observing for about a week now, and I it's nice to relate in so many areas with most of you. Guest guest
, Did yours ever get really bad? I thought my feet hurt because of fibro, so I never went to a Podiatrist. Then, after 3 YEARS, my pain specialist mentions thst I have PF. Well, you know the longer it's left untreated, the worse it gets and the harder it is to treat. Well, it's severe now. Most days I can barely walk. I've had it taped and do the stretches and wear the right shoes and ice them and wear the night splints (which makes me hurt all over even more in the morning) and they are still severe. And the stretches gave me Tarsal Tunnel in both ankles. It's just too much to deal with on top of everything else. I'm so tired of all the health problems day after day after day with no end in sight. I'm 38. How in the Hell am I suppossed to do this for another 30 or 40 years? It's not something I feel like doing.....I'm so sick of all of it. Guest guest
Hi Jill, Yep it did get really bad. I've had it in both feet. I have really big bone spurs too. Have they given you a cortisone injection or oral cortisone? That seemed to help somewhat. It did take months for it to get better, maybe you should see another podiatrist for a second opinion. My last one didn't believe in the hard supports, but more flexible ones. Yeah, it's not like we have enough to deal with the fibro, but it makes the run of the mill crap just put us over the edge doesn't it?? Don't give up...we are all in the same boat, I know that doesn't help the pain, but....Yesterday was the first day I was actually depressed because of the fibro. I guess it hit me that yep, this is it. I'm better today. Keep in touch, Hugs, /Mi New to group, About me Hello Everyone, >I've just been observing for about a week now, and I it's nice to relate in so many areas with most of you.
