Guest guest
Sorry I dropped off the earth. I've been very busy and honestly kind of anti-social and very depressed. However, I have been busy doing good things as well. My job at NARIC has me produce bi-monthly research brief publication on various disability and rehabilitation topics. For Feb. I did one on... Fibromyalgia: Treatment and Management. You can view it at... http://www.naric.com/public/reSearch/ReSearchVol3no2.cfm http://www.naric.com/public/reSearch/ReSearchVol3no2.pdf It is basically all the research I found on treatment and management of FM from the past 10 years using about... 4-5 databases. Might be interesting to some of you. *shrug* I've also been busy taking an aqua exercise class. I started out in something called Aquacise but transferred over into the arthritis group. It is much better for me than the other class and I am finding that I am feeling a bit better overall. I really enjoy water therapy/exercise. I'm the baby of the group of course. I'm also taking swim lessons. That isn't going as well as I would like. I'm still trying to get the floating thing down--but I'm trying. At least I'm getting more comfortable in the water. This is important to me since water therapy is particularly useful to our condition. Working with the HR department at my work to see about getting alternative therapies put back into our health insurance. I like to try out acupuncture and possibly massage to help with the symptoms. We shall see. Also trying to make sure they don't screw up my mental health benefits. That would be bad. Still single... still very much alone. Struggling with some personal demons but overall I am well. I hope everyone else is well too! ~
Guest guest
So nice to see you post . It sounds like though you have been somewhat depressed, you have been doing some very constructive things. I am going to read the research brief. Thanks girl. I know being single is a little lonely but sometimes it is not an all bad thing. But keep on living life and you might stumble onto the right one. We never know girl. Let us all know how the water exercises are helping you. I would like to do it but I don't think I could force my lazy tired a$$ out the door to go and do it. LOL. hugs to ya, Debra V. alannakitty wrote: Sorry I dropped off the earth. I've been very busy and honestly kind of anti-social and very depressed. Guest guest
I'm sorry you are depressed and anti-social. I just wanted you to know that when my depression (which is always there) really gets a hold of me, I become very anti-social too. not even wanting to answer the phone. Guest guest
Hi - Thanks for checking in. Lots of us feeling depressed, but hoping that will change as Spring moves in. I'm glad you like your water exercise. I've taken the Arthritis class at our Y in the past and I was the baby there, too. It seemed the ladies exercised their mouths more than their body parts. LOL! Good luck with the swimming lessons. I give you credit for learning as an adult. Take care. Jeanne in WI
