Guest guest
, I am glad that despite your eye doctor initially thinking one thing, he checked and found out you weren't b.s.'ng! That's a good thing. Make sure when you go for your spinal tap that you let them know you have fibro. It may make a difference in the meds they use for you. As far as your sick kiddos go - we had a " sick house " too for the past 2 winters. Want to know what I did differently? We went around with the lysol disinfecting wipes and wiped every single door knob in the house with one. Then, I got both kids skin tested for allergies. Turned out my daughter has severe allergies (which kept developing into sinus, then bronchitis, yada yada yada) and my son has mild allergies (same pattern). Now that we have had them on allergy medicine (both are generic - he is on zyrtec and generic flonase; she is on generic rynatan and generic flonase), we haven't seen or had either one of them " go down " sick except for once this winter! And that was for a sore throat that turned out to be pharyngitis and it was my son and it was before he got tested. So there's a thought for you when you are feeling better. We also changed our furnace filter thingie and are using a filtrete one that is hepa quality. I agree that insurance companies shouldn't be telling consumers what to buy. There are many many medications where the name brand is superior to the generic. There are many medications where there is no generic available yet. It's a Catch 22 for those of us on name-brands (like Lyrica or Cymbalta or Effexor) because we cannot survive without them........and sometimes the cost is so prohibitive we do without. My suggestion would be to check with your physician about another med if that happens. I know my pulmonologist/sleep doctor, who also handles my allergies because they trigger my asthma, is always willing to give me samples of stuff if I ask to help save me money. Just a thought.... Darlene > > Hi , > Isn't it great to be able to vent and not have people roll their eyes at you???!!! I'm sorry about all the sickness. What we need here in Michigan is some warm weather. Just think how good it would feel to sit outside and let the sun warm our sore muscles...heaven...do take care and hang in there. > /Mi > needed to get this off my cheast > > > Ok another month of the crud, I am really getting tired of trying to > keep everyone healthy. Guest guest
Another great tip for not getting sick is to have the kids wash their hands the MINUTE they get home! Also disinfect the phones and remotes as well as the door handles. I also keep hand sanitizer in my car. The minute we get back in the car form being anywhere we all use it. I also use the wipes they provide to wipe down shopping carts. It has really cut back on all of our illnesses we catch. ~Jill needed to get this off my cheast > > > Ok another month of the crud, I am really getting tired of trying to > keep everyone healthy.
