Guest guest
Ruthie, First of all, sorry to hear you are in a world of pain today. I am glad you found another chiro who knows about fibro! I am partnering with my doctor to try and get me off some of my meds as well. I decided to take ownership of my health. They (doctors) were adding meds without considering how it was impacting me. I told my asthma doctor that I was going for an allergy skin test. I'm tired of him shooting in the dark regarding my allergies. I figure with a skin test, we'll know for sure what I'm allergic too and we can go from there. I also took myself off my nasal sprays - didn't notice much help from them so why take them??? They took me off my BP meds but I noticed that my BP kept creeping up and my legs were swelling. Surprise surprise.....I started taking it again and even though it has no diuretic in it, no swelling! Hmmm....think there's a correlation?? I am also taking some new vitamins and minerals that are supposed to help heal the gut (probiotics, the refrigerated ones) and promote cell renewal (aloe gold and ageless xtra). Hopefully, once I've been on them for a few weeks I'll notice a difference in my energy level, etc. If my gut gets healed then I can get off my protonix! And maybe, just maybe my klonipin......but I don't think my zoloft is going anywhere just yet! My doctor is okay with alternative meds - so I am using a reflexologist who does ion cleansing to rid myself of toxins and have a massage scheduled for a week from now. Anyhow Ruthie, I hope your doc will work with your chiro; a lot of them don't believe in alternative medicines, although they DO work! Keep us posted!! Darlene > > Hi Peeps! Just checking in.
