Guest guest
Well, you guessed it. It's raining here. Again. And the pain is agonizing. I can hardly even type so I'll make this short. My doctor put me on Cymbalta for depression and anxiety. I ended up having to go to the hospital and have an IV because I got so dehydrated from the severe diarrhea and loss of appetite. I've never had a side effect from a medication before and I feel like I'm getting old way before my time. I just turned 22! These are supposed to be the best years of someone's life. But I guess we all just have to live for those sunny days. Britt <God blessed me with an optimistic outlook for a reason!>
Guest guest
I know what you mean about the rain --- it's raining here to. I'm sorry you had such a strong side effect from a med. It has cuased diarrhea for me, but no where near that severe. And it got better after awhile. It also helped with the pain. Mira
Guest guest
I stopped needing to look at the weather channel when the Fibro set in. I can usually tell when it is going to rain 2-4 hours before it comes in. Feels like an elephant did a tango on my lower back with a pair of expensive stiletto heels, then both sciatic nerves down the back of my legs joins in for the pain festivities. The only advantage of going through a period of drought is not have to experience the " joy " of a drop in barometric pressure.

I do hope it is not in one of those areas in such a big part of the country that has had such nasty floods!!! When I see pictures of the area I grew up in, it is terrible --- and one county has only one or two small grocery stores, the rest have been flood out!!! Guest guest
Studies have found that most arthritis patients can do this also, it a barametric pressure thing. Re: Rain, Rain Go Away I stopped needing to look at the weather channel when the Fibro set in. I can usually tell when it is going to rain 2-4 hours before it comes in. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe 4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Sorry to hear that the Cymbalta affected you that way. I'm glad you have a positive outlook. Take care.
