Caregiver Support Group

Hi Everyone,

JAFCO and the Posnack Jewish Community Center are working in collaboration to provide a weekly support group, for caregivers raising children who have developmental disabilities. This group provides an opportunity to share common feelings, experiences and learn about resources in our community. The group provides support as well as addresses’ topics that are meaningful today and for planning the future.

The group meets weekly on Monday mornings from 9:30 am to 10:45 am and on the 3rd Tuesday evening of each month 6:15pm to 7:30pm. The group meets in the Administrative Building. When entering from Pine Island, bear right and see the flag pole.

The following are a list of dates for 2011:

1/3, 1/10, 1/24(at JAFCO), 1/31, 2/7, 2/21 (at JAFCO), 2/28, 3/7, 3/21, 3/28, 4/4 (at JAFCO), 4/11, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9, 5/23. The morning group will meet in the music room.

The Tuesday evening (6:15pm – 7:30pm) group dates: 1/18, 2/15, 3/15, 5/17. The evening group will meet in the Holocaust Library.

* Note 1/24, 2/21and 4/4 the group will meet at JAFCO at 4200 North University Drive.
