I wouldn't go thru any of that stuff either, due to the expense and you have no guarantee it will help and it could make things worse... I am sorry you didn't get better news from him....I don't have any ideas as to what u should do next, as I am just starting to deal with these doctors cos my fibro is getting worse, but I really don't have much hope... **************Create a Home Theater Like the Pros. Guest guest
well i went to see the new Dr.... here is the senerio..... he walked in and told me i was having pain in my neck, well yea that is why I am here, he told me he looked at my mri, and not only do i have 1 bulging disc putting pressure on my nerve but i have 2, but that is not the only problem, i have a severe case of athritis in my spine, the first thing he start talking is shooting me in the neck with steriods, which I let him know that i cannot tolerate cortisone, i have had them in the past in my knee, and in my elbow and it caused more pain, and i had to have surgery anyway,at that time this man started laughing, and then apologized and said you poor thing, ok what is up with that???? now he wants to try putting me in traction, which " might " help the bulging disc, but will not help the arthritis, and i will still have the pain, so my question is..... why spend all that money that I might add we don't have, for traction if I'm going to continue with the pain, and I'm scared to death that the cortisone shots will cause more pain, and I will have more migraines that i already have, I'm like between a rock and a hard spot and need some direction on which way to turn, and as far as him giving me anything for pain, oh no, i have to now go to my family Dr, for that! what a joke!!!!! any suggestions would be deeply appreciated so much thanks, Leanne
Guest guest
I have had cotisone shots in shoulder but not my spine. The ones in my shoulder only really hurt the first day and then slacked off. Prior to my cervical spine surgery I had traction and it was horrible. Made my pain much worse. Wouldn't chose that again. Best of luck whatever you decide to do.
