Hello everyone,

I'm new to the group and can't believe it's taken me this long to discover

y'all. I've learned so much in just this first week!

Does anyone know of a theater or music program I might look into for my 8

year-old son?

He is very verbal and has a great passion for acting and music, but his sensory

differences keep him from fitting into a group focused on neuro-typical kids.

The one time we tried an acting program for ASD kids, it did not give him enough

opportunities to try out his love of performance. On so many levels, I haven't

been able to find resources that fit his situation and our recent theme is that

we're " falling between the cracks " . Thanks in advance for your help.

Cadenza offers a music therapy program - in Hollywood

www.Cadenzacenter.com Fax:

You mentioned that you had tried a theater class, but IF it wasn't the one at

City High, you might want to try their program: exceptional Theatre class

- cooper city high community school it is listed at Browardeducator.com

I Know this isn't acting or music related, but might play on is creativity -

there is a Parent and Child cooking class at Nova Community School April 11 -

May 23 - you can register at Browardeducator.com I have taken sign language,

meditation, flower arranging, and other classes a the school with my son, and

everyone was very nice. We really enjoyed the classes and made a lot of friends

Good luck.
