Have any of you heard of Milnacipran? It's an anti-depressant that is very

effect for treating moderate to severe depression. It's been used for the past

10 years in other countries! The great news is that it has shown to

significantly reduce pain and fatigue in FM patients!! It is easily tolerated

with few side effects and does not interact with most other drugs! What is

taking so long to get it here? Cypress Bioscience said that as of 2/08 it is

now being evaluated by the FDA. It typically takes them 10 months for a

decision. Other countries have had this drug for 10 years and the FDA is just

now evaluating it? Good thing they take this disease seriously.....

I know I shouldn't be, and I'm so happy for those of you who get the medical

attention you need, but I'm sick and tired of not getting help.

In the thread titled " Fibromyalgia won't kill you " all I kept thinking was,

" No, it won't kill us, it just might wish we were dead sometimes. "

It seems like we are always the last to get these things. I haven't heard of it.

We will keep our fingers crossed for new and effective treatments.
