Guest guest
Hello Jeanne, You may be the only one of a few....It took me my first denial, then an appeal, another denial, and then a request for a private hearing in front of a Federal Judge! And all this took about 4 years....I'm thankful to hear that not everyone was dragged through the paperwork H_LL, and the torment of trying not to get yourself so hopeful, because you know you can't do what you used to do for work anymore, and then when the denials come, you still sob like you lost your best friend, but when that approval letter finally comes, WHOO-HOO, It was worth it all, I think,,,,,,,HAHAHA. No, really, I haven't heard of to many that have gotten it first try, good for you~~~ Take Care, Pam --------------------------------- No Cost - Get a month of Blockbuster Total Access now. Guest guest
Jeannie, Congratulations....After 3 yrs I finally got approved 3 weeks ago...After denial, appeal, denial and then finally requesting a hearing...I was at the point of getting the hearing date when the administrative law judge looked over the case and approved my disability to 6 months from the day I went out of work...I think that the problem is that most doctors don't file the correct paperwork or not give enough information in the beginning...and that no one with any medical knowledge looks at the paperwork until the 2nd appeal or law judge who looks over the paperwork to see if all his questions are answered to his satisfaction. If not, then he gets you scheduled for a hearing and you can answer his questions that are unanswered. The only ones I ever knew that got approved right away were terminal with cancer or needed some kind of transplant.... Again, congratulations and enjoy the fact that will not have to return to a work place that you can not perform to the best of your satifaction.
