Guest guest
Hello.... Birkenstock shoes have been asked about in the posting...... Well....my husband's Aunt who is now 76....has been wearing them for about 30 years!!! She would not wear anything else even if you gave them to her.... Her feet hurt severely for years with bone spurs on the bottom of both heals and Scleroderma for the past 18 years...... The only reason I have not purchased a pair of them is the cost....but I am saving for a pair.....as I suffer terribly with bone spurs on the bottom of both heals.... both of my ankles of past tendon injuries PLUS I have bone spurs on the BACK of both heals !!! My right one was operated on last year....now requiring more surgery as the anchor was somehow seated wrong with the tendon.....everything happens to me..... Anyway....Birkenstock Shoes....is the answer in my book.... Best to you all.....
Guest guest
Okay - I have GOT to get comfy shoes for work. HELP! I usually wear tennis shoes - only some days they feel so heavy that by the end of the day I can't walk. Someone suggested Berkinstocks - they are not only very pricey - I'm not sure they are " soft " enough for me. My feet HURT - they have hurt ever since the fibro/neuropathy whatever attached them in 2007. I'm thinking of the diabetic crocs with diabetic socks - anyone have the diabetic crocs? in Phx --------------------------------- You rock. Guest guest
Hi, and .... Birkenstocks Shoes are a bit " pricey " ...$$$...but they will last for many years....and are guaranteed....or your money back..... Their is a Birkenstock site on the web....go to it and look at ALL of the styles.....certainly there is something there you can wear to work...... My husband's Aunt worked for Southern Bell for 25 years and wore Birkenstocks when they didn't even have all these styles and the Office Manager let her..... Good luck, Girls..... Guest guest
, I just bought the Crocs for Plantar Faciitis. I've had them for about a month. I'm not impressed. They are ok, but don't offer much support or comfort. However, I noticed the Diabetic Crocs can fit orthotics, so you could put in foot pads. I just researched out foot pads and the Pinnacle Power Step sounds really good. I just ordered them. There is a description and reviews on www.heelspurs.com. They are supposed to have arch support, so if you don't want that, they have several other to choose from, but they are supposed to have lots of cushioning! I did notice my hair stylist wears them, so they must be comfortable since she is on her feet all day. Did you look them up on Amazon? Then you could read reviews on them. Since I have Plantar Faciitis I cannot walk around barefoot and slippers are horrible for PF, so I bought the Crocs for around the house. Now, I'm thinking about the Diabetic Crocs so I can put the Pinnacle Power Step in them. I just can't afford another pair of them right now. ~Jill Comfy shoes??? Guest guest
, Have you heard of Sofft shoes? They have beautiful dress shoes that are really comfortable! They are expensive though..... ~Jill Re: Comfy shoes??? Guest guest
, I did post about the PF before, but you may not have seen it. I do in the summer have White Mountain wedge slides. They are so comfortable...no breaking in and they made my feet feel so good. I got them online on QVC. /Mi Comfy shoes??? Okay - I have GOT to get comfy shoes for work. HELP! Guest guest
, Thanks for the Birks comment. I'll keep that in mind...I know people always say how comfortable they are, I didn't realize they would be beneficial for heel spurs. Hugs, /Mi Re: Comfy shoes??? Hello.... Guest guest
I just bought both. I have prescription orthotics and I cannot wear them because they are much too hard. I guess I have the same thing only he called it heel spurs LOL. The orthotics keeps the pressure off them. These look softer so I ordered both the diabetic crocs and the Pinnacle power steps! Thanks for letting me know about that. Hope they will help both of us!! hugs jill larion wrote: , I just bought the Crocs for Plantar Faciitis. I've had them for about a month. I'm not impressed. Guest guest
Thank you - they are sooooo expensive and they don't have much cushioning. That's what is holding me back - oh and the cost! I'm going to try the Crocs. If they don't help I'll have to save for the Berkenstocks also. hugs EAZZYGOING1@... wrote: Hello.... Birkenstock shoes have been asked about in the posting...... Guest guest
, It does take a bit of time to break them (the Birkenstocks). They start out hard for a time but then the more that you wear them the softer it will get, unlike other kinds of shoes that do just the opposite. As for the price, some of the sandals are very reasonable depending on the style you look for. Some of them cost about the same as the regular Crocs. I have a pair of the regular Crocs, the Beach style (their original product line) that I really like. I've heard that New Balance is another kind of shoe that is supposed to be pretty good. I have a kind of tennis shoe made by a company called Asics. They have gel in them as well which makes them very comfortable for me. I have never used the shoes thru the RX section of Crocs but I'm considering it maybe because I have to wear orthotic inserts. Guest guest
They don't come in my size - plus it's too high for me. My feet ache so badly I need to wear flats. Thank you though! hugs Andersen wrote: , I did post about the PF before, but you may not have seen it. I do in the summer have White Mountain wedge slides. Guest guest
Thank you Kristy - I will look for the sandles and maybe try a pair. I have two pairs of crocs, one is too big for me so in the diabetic ones I went smaller. The other was specific sizes (instead of like 10-11 they were 9, 10, 11) and they fit me well but they are purple LOL. Can't wear them to work! hugs - in Phx Kristy Sokoloski wrote: , It does take a bit of time to break them (the Birkenstocks).
