Dear Governor ,There was no time for anyone associated with APD (Agency for Persons with Disabilities) to prepare for an overnight, secret 15% pay cut to all providers. This is going to endanger the disabled greatly. Providers cannot afford this. What other entities could survive this? Providers to the developmentally disabled population are already underpaid. This is the most vulnerable population in the state, and these cuts will pose a danger to their very safety, health and outcomes. This is always the population that gets cuts, and they are the only truly deserving population in the state that CANNOT help themselves or have a VOICE for themselves like other SPECIAL INTERESTS in Florida. How can you forsake these precious people? You are endangering a population that needs the most help and doing it in the dark of night. Please give HELP to those who NEED it. Would you have cut salaries of anyone else by 15%?
