My hip is giving me fits along with my low back and rear end. Got heat/pain patches all over, lol. Other than that I am a bit tired today. Weather is humid and warm. Looking like rain. Found out Friday that my brother has been dignosed with fibro. Definitely runs in the family. we think grandma had it. My daughter is showing signs also. I plan on having her tested soon. ' cv,pkfj Honey says hi, lol. She is bugging me as I type here. got locked in hubby's closet last night. poor baby. Gonna veg today. I deserve a day of rest. Hopefully hubby will be peaceful or gone today. Not in the mood to deal with any of his antics. Well enough for now. Oh and flowers are starting to bloom. I love that. Everything greening up. My favorite time of year.
Guest guest
Are you certain you are on the same planet and continent most of us are??? The grass is green here, but I do think it is that way most of the year! We do have what I THINK are flowers sending their green leaves up, but with all of the freak snowstorms, I don't know for certain. And while, I have not walked out into the front yard in some time, I cannot say that my day lillies or peonies have decided to send up shoots either!!! I do think, could be wrong --- with a mind such as mine and this short term memory problem --- but anyway, I do seem to recall some snow last weekend. Even if we were in our house in So. Illinois, I don't think we would be seeing flowers beginning to bloom this year --- they have probably all floated away in the floods and are now making their way to New Orleans and the Gulf via the Ohio and Mississsippi Rivers!!! I have seen the pictures of my poor little home town and, while it was on the verge of becoming a " ghost town " , those rains and rising waters did nothing to help it! And I do think that I need to save all of the emails one of my classmates and I exchanged a few years ago in which we shared our memories of what we did as kids of the '50's!!! No one would believe what we did for fun --- go to the cornerstore owned by/operated by the mother of a classmate and buy lemons which she would cut in half and we girls would then sprinkle salt on them and lick and suck the juice out. said that " was a girl thing! " But I don't remember him actually finding a " boy " thing because we all used to get bottles of cinimmon oil and put a drop on a finger and then touch our tongues to that --- FIRE IN THE MOUTH!!! And I am pretty certain people will not believe us in a few years when we try to count how many grocery stores the town had!! There were at least 4 in the main part of town and 10 or 20 little ones scattered around!!! Now they have one store that cannot equal any we had. And since those in the nearest larger town were underwater during those floods in Southern Illinois, it is going to cost more in gas to drive to the nearest town that is higher and did not get the water damage. And yes, that's all off topic but, it has been strange in many areas of the country and I am pretty sure a few of you here have had some experience with this. And no, it may not be on the level of Katrina, but that's all relative when your roads are closed, stores flooded, etc., etc. And I haven't read in any of the papers or heard on tv that those places have been asking for disaster relief. One store has a moble home like unit set-up in a parking lot so that they can dispense meds to the local residents. More of those are to be available to the residents very soon! Oh, and your produce and other items that are grown in the midwest, will probably have a higher price come next spring. > > Well enough for now. Oh and flowers are starting to bloom. I love that.
