Guest guest
I was just talking about this very thing with a friend of mine last night! I have 3 children and when I got pregnant with my last one I had Fibro. Actually I got sick a year before my last pregnancy. So when I found out I was pregnant I was just so scared on how I was going to feel, as I was aready having trouble holding down my job and taking care of my other 2 kids. Well, I actually felt really good! I kept feeling better and better! So did my friend when she got pregnant. Re: fibro and pregnancy I had fibro when I carried my little son who is almost 6 now. I did not know it then though. But the kidney problem sounds familiar because I had alot of protein in my urine when pregnant. They thought I was eclamptic, but found I was not. They never addressed the reason for finding protein in my urine. So, perhaps it was the fibro that caused it.I also remember just being overly tired (which can be normal with pregnancy), I also retained alot of fluid in the last couple of months and had sky high blood pressure. I don't know if any of this had to do with fibro though. I do not remember having the pain I now have and have had for the last 4 or 5 years.hugs,Debra V.DebiAC012553@... wrote:In a message dated 3/28/2008 1:03:05 P.M. I did fine, except for my kidneys during the pregnancies, but my daughter was put on fentanyl patches with her 5th one and he was born addicted to them. I hope that this helps. Guest guest
My third step-mother told me during a quiet moment away from the rest of the family that she did get pregnant once in her life when she was very young and unmarried. She developed a kidney infection and lost the baby, she said that at the time she didn't want to know if the baby was a boy or girl but apparently knew it was a boy because she ended the conversation with, " if he had survived he would be 26yrs old today " . My step-mother developed Multiple Sclerosis at a young 37rs of age and is currently in the late stages of the disease.
