The rally will be held at 10:30 AM, April 6, 2011 in the Senate Portico. This is the covered area outside the Senate office building. It is right next to the Capitol building next to the courtyard area.

I am am concerned that I am not hearing any outrage. Has anybody read what was sent out yesterday? What has to happen to get people upset enough to act? This is the equivalent of a category 5 hurricane hitting the developmentally disabled.

We need to send a message to the Governor and the legislative leadership, that this is not acceptable. We can no longer sit by and allow our loved ones to be slowly denied the services they desperately need. This means funding has been cut 35% in the past 3 years. It is time that the Governor and the legislature realize they cannot continue to cut funding to the most vulnerable in our society and expect us to just take it.

Please call the Governor, Senate President Haridopolos, Speaker Cannon and tell them you are outraged at the recent move by the Governor. Ask them if this is a cruel joke, since it is April Fools Day? Call NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
