Guest guest
I have noticed that with all the provider cuts and reductions to services for the disabled in the past number of years, I have never seen any mention of any type of cuts to the operating budget for any of the APD area offices. There has also been no mention of any layoffs of APD personel or reductions in their working hours or salary. It is only the disabled and their families and those providing their services that always suffer. It seems that APD is very comfortable to protect themselves and their jobs at the total expense of the very population that they are supposingly helping. And none of the APD directors in the recent past have made any committment to ask our legislatures to provide the extra funding that is so desparately needed for those now getting services and to get those on the waitlist off sooner. I do not remember hearing of all of these budget problems and issues and cuts to services before APD was created and DCF was in charge.
