We cannot wait to see you THIS Saturday at the 2011 Broward Walk Now for Autism Speaks! We just wanted to share with you a few last minute reminders. Join our fabulous Emcee Herrera, News Anchor for WPLG/Local 10 for the best Walk Day ever! DJ Gore will once again be on hand to get you up and moving. Meet 'Geoffrey' from Toys R' Us and other 'special' guests who will be playing amongst the crowd and taking pictures with the kids and the walk teams. Stop by the South Florida Ford Tent and 'Like' them on Facebook at the walk and they will donate $10 to us! Get your photo taken with Miami Heat Dancers and Florida Panther Ice Dancers and get their autographs! Kids will also love the bounce houses, obstacle course, rock wall, face painting and other great activities. Get information from over 35 Resource Fair Vendor. This year's Option Auction will be second to none! There will be amazing prizes for $5 and $10 tickets so don't forget to stop by the Option Auction tent! Take a sneak peak! Tips for a Great Walk Day! The Walk k is approximately 1/4 of a mile - just around the NSU campus. You do not have to walk if you don't want to. The walk begins at 10:00 and no walkers will be permitted to start the walk after 10:30 for safety reasons Don't forget your sunscreen! Please note the best footwear for the day will be sneakers. The event is an outdoor family day with music and fun activities for the families and friends. We love furry friends but on Walk day pets are not allowed with the exception of registered service dogs. Registration and Resource Fair open at 8:30 AM. The Walk will kick off at 10:00AM. GRAND CLUB MEMBERS: Reach Grand Club member status** by walk day and you will have access to the VIP Tent at the Broward Walk Now for Autism Speaks and receive recognition during the Walk Day Stage Program. You will also receive a special commemorative pin as well as other special perks! Become a Grand Club member by April 30, 2011 and you will be entered into a drawing for one of two amazing experiences! One is 4 lower bowl tickets to a 2011-12 Florida Panthers game and a Zamboni ride (for a child age 5-17)* and the other is a Marlins VIP Experience that includes 4 Club Level tickets and passes to Batting practice on the field along with a tour of Sun Life Stadium*. So keep up your fundraising efforts even after the Walk and join the Grand Club! * Some restrictions apply (**Grand Club Members are individuals who have raised $1,000 or more) DONATIONS: If you have money to turn in on walk day, please head to our Registration area.
