I have many times in my over eating past eat a dog every minute, but then not every one eats as a pig eats and enjoys the bite. I'm here to tell you right now! I have finally got it! When you keep your sugar under 120 and you do some kind of exercise each day for one hour or more, you can't help but lose weight if you are over weight to start with. my sister told me last week if she was on a diet and could only lose 2 pounds a week it would depress her so bad that the diet would go out the door. the way I explained it to her is to me it is a 4 pound swing. instead of dropping 2 pounds, I could be putting on 2 pounds. this is a 4 pound swing the way I'm looking at it. actually I know first hand from many different so called diets all my life, if you take it off to fast, then it comes back just as fast and brings more buddies with it. even losing one pound at a time is in reality a 2 pound swing. if we wasn't trying to eat right and exercise, then our butts and bellies would grow, which means the scales go up each time you get on. I use to drink one gallon of milk each day. now a half of a gallon will last me the whole week. I do have to be very careful though or it wouldn't. I don't like the way high sugar makes me feel and the way it makes my heart act up. Do I ever wish I could tie the feed bag on for just one meal? well if I said no, then I would be telling a big fat pig lie! we probably all do, but better sense tells us to stay on the right track and not give in to stupid! ten dogs? well I would rather have all the Mexican food and cold beer my belly can hold instead! however, wouldn't bother taking my sugar after that meal! don't even know if it will go that high? A porter house is the best cut of the meat right up against the bone where the T bone is. love a fine porter house. only 2 does a cow have though. use to know a butcher and now that I look back on it, I don't believe that was such a good guy to know. got way to much good meat for a lower rate of money and to much free as well. A friend of mine who just found out a few years back he is a T 2, said he wish he never would have been introduced to beef or pork. He is starting to like chicken and fish, but his first love will always be with beef and pork. he said he can't just eat 4 ounces, so he trys hard to ignore the 2. now in a 48 ounce steak like this, at least the bone will weigh around 12 to 16. maybe one third of that steak could have been a bone which he probably didn't eat, but still that is 2 pounds of meat in a short time. poor guy! so sorry he will learn the hard way the mistakes he makes as this all for getting his name in the lights. I do eat some ground beef like those cheeseburgers from schwans. No mayo on the sandwich. Just plain and only one sandwich. Guest guest Posted April 28, 2012 Report Share Posted April 28, 2012 I love chicken the best but I know the awesome skin is not so good for us. So I try not to have it often. I can't bear to pull off the skin and get rid of it unless I am giving it to , that's acceptable. As for steaks we get these little 6 ounce ribeye steaks from GFS Foods and they are individually wrapped and frozen. I try to make 2 meals on one of those where in the old days I would have two per meal. Now I save it or share it with . He has to be careful about meat because of his pancreas so I would rather have a half of one than to do without. Guest guest Posted April 28, 2012 Report Share Posted April 28, 2012 well I'm learning how to only eat 4 small little ounces of steak and not cry to long! it is really tough and about as hard at it can get for me. love steak and always ordered the largest steak the restaurant had to offer. the good thing for me is, I dig fish, chicken and any other kind of meat that walks on all fours. know a few hunters and deer comes my way some times and it is most certainly very good if cooked right.
