Guest guest
Hi , I hope you are feeling better. I accidentally moved a bunch of new messages into one of my recipe holding folders and so just found all of this now. So I am late on wishing people happy birthday or anniversary or finding out they have been ill and all this other happy stuff, LOL. Seriously, a cold is no fun and I imagine it can be a bear for us who have diabetes. But believe it or not I really have not had a cold since I found out I was diabetic which will be a year on June 13. Guest guest
Mark, you could eat half and take home a doggie bag! You could tell whoever asked that your doggie can smell steak on your breath and if you don't share with him he will bite you! haha...Then you could have the steak the next day. Maybe you have a little doggie but if you told them you had a Great Dane they would understand why a big guy like you had to only eat half of it. And if they believed you, then you could tell them you have some swamp land in Arizona to sell. LOL. I am so tired that my brain is fried. Lora so sleepy! so tired! feel like I ran ten miles! we grilled some steaks to day for some friends and the wife and I shared a 16 ounce rib eye. we had dinner around 5-30. now I feel so sleepy, so tired and so like no more energy is left in the tank! seems like I was told one time that protein like the steak I shared with my honey would really make you feel kind of drugged a few hours after eating it. having steak or any other kind of meat for dinner is some thing I don't do much. my sugar is 108, but man do I feel like I will fall out any moment now. some people say steak is one of the hardest meats to get out of your stomach and through the system. my brother in law says he feels bad for a few days after he eats a big steak. well I may even eat less steak for dinner if it makes me feel this kind of tired. I've ate it at lunch before and don't remember it making me feel this way. was just wondering if any of the rest of you are made to feel this way if you have ate a steak for dinner in the past? I was out side a lot to day and this is as well a thing I don't do much of any more. I did read some where that a few hours a day out in the sun will also make you very tired and ready for bed at night. they do say to get at least 30 minutes a day of sun light so it can reset your body clock. I'm here to let you know that the combination of sun and steak in the dinner hour is a monster to deal with. don't go fishing like my friends did after they ate or you could fall in the river if you was to feel like I'm feeling right now. think I should have stuck with my cottage cheese or a salad? o but how I love a grilled rib eye in the grate fresh air! Guest guest
Thanks so much, but I am feeling better. I have not had a cold in years, so glad it was not worse than it was. Going to sit to in the sun this afternoon for while and " bake " the rest of it away! _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Lora Leggett Sent: Friday, April 27, 2012 3:55 PM To: blind-diabetics Subject: Re: so sleepy! so tired! feel like I ran ten miles!
