Today's Tip:

Make healthy snacks readily available. This is probably the most

important factor in helping your family eat well. If healthy snacks

are not readily available for your family to quickly grab, they may

opt for less healthy, sugary snacks. Here are some healthy snacks that

your family can enjoy:

- Fresh grapes, strawberries, or blueberries

- Slices of celery, carrots, and cucumbers

- Celery with peanut butter and raisins

- Almonds or hazelnuts

Orange, Strawberry and Kiwi Salad

To my Diabetics, be careful of the natural sugar in each of these fruits,

always in moderation, and remember you can always modify any recipie to suit

your needs.

1 tbsp orange juice

2 tsp honey

2 medium orange(s), peeled and sliced

2 cup(s) strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 cup(s) grapes, halved

2 medium kiwifruit, peeled and sliced

2 tbsp mint leaves, chopped

In a large nonreactive bowl, combine the orange juice and honey. Add the

fruits; toss to coat. Refrigerate, covered, until chilled, at least 1 hour.

Serve, sprinkled with mint.
