Guest guest
Ever heard of the dun lap disease? well this is where your belly gets so large that it lays over in your lap. I have noticed this more here of late when I ride my no where bike. I have to do different things with my hands because holding the handles by the seat just bores me after a while, so I decided to hold my belly instead for a while. this is when I noticed that my big belly was laying in my lap like a huge sack of lard or maybe a big bowl of jello. now I know this is a bit strange, but I have figured out that I like to hold my big belly as it jumps up and down as my legs cause it to do so while riding the no where bike. this belly action is what is reminding me why I'm riding the no where bike in the first place and why I should stay on as long as I can. getting off and stopping sounds real good to me, but I wish real hard to get rid of the dun lap disease that I have. seems like just eating less isn't enough to make it go away, so peddling the no where bike is what must be the key! I do enjoy watching it jump up and down as the peddles go around and around. I'm thinking if I ride the no where bike enough, then there should be less big belly to jump around? to day I tried to reach up under it with both hands and realized that there is more there then my 2 hands could hold! this sort of got me very concerned wondering how long I have actually had the dun lap disease? I have never noticed it until I started riding my no where bike every day. could be this reason here is why I stopped riding the no where bike in the past? maybe watching my big belly jump up and down as I rode my no where bike made me kind of sick and I never went back. I know that the no where bike can help me get rid of this dun lap disease and cause my huge belly that looks like a bowl of jello drop off be side the trail if I continue to ride my no where bike. It's certainly a good thing that I sweep and mop the floors once a week! that melting off belly might be kind of slick to try and walk through. I have noticed when my hands touch my big belly as I ride my no where bike that it is sweating. now I wonder if this is actually my big jelly belly melting off? this makes me wish to stay on the no where bike longer every time if this is true. I always ride for one hour every day at least. yesterday and to day I got in 2 hours both days. not all at one time, but like to day it was 45 this morning after breakfast, 30 right before noon and another 45 just a few minutes ago. I can't do this melting fat on the no where bike like this every day, but I figure at least one hour a day is the goal I got to meet if I plan to rid my self of this dun lap disease. I wish to some day when I write my book about losing weight and the fun it was, I plan to tell the folks how I felt my big jelly belly melt off right under my hands on my no where bike that went every where. taking me to places where big belly's got dropped off along the way and how watching it fall away is why I stayed on it and never stopped riding it. I turn on my Bose radio and turn it up! good thing my honey works during the day, cause she doesn't dig loud music. but the best way to exercise is in my opinion to music that you like. I got the remote right there by the bike and can change the station when the music stops. ride to the toons is the ticket. hold your big belly as you ride and feel it jump up and down as your legs knock it around. this will motivate you to stay on the bike and go farther to day then you went yesterday. don't keep that dun lap disease hanging around any longer then you should. get rid of that puppy and then you can soon be able to hold your belly as you ride the no where bike and be able to feel your waste as well and no longer will the huge jelly belly jump up and down as your legs peddle. Guest guest
Hi Mark, That is so funny and yet in a way isn't funny. I am sitting here in my rocking reclining chair in our room with the computer and I just grabbed my belly with my two hands. I can put both hands on it and close them and it covers it all. But it is no good on my 166 pounds. I wonder how much it weighs, LOL. the dun lap disease and i got it as well! > Ever heard of the dun lap disease? well this is where your belly gets so > large that it lays over in your lap. Guest guest
you should be proud of only 166. I'm dain near twice that and my big old belly is much more then a hand full. they call it a spare tire. I suppose mine is a earth mover tire as big as it has got over many years of over eating. I'm sure tired of carrying it around though. it makes my back hurt most of the time. probably not much different then a woman in the Mother way complaining of her back hurting from carrying around the baby in her belly! well I'm not in the Momma way, but my belly is big enough to maybe give birth to a baby wail and I'm so tired of carrying it around with me. I heard one time that any one should be able to lift there own weight in pounds because they are so use to carry it around all the time. I don't wish to lift 300 pounds at any time. you would think as big as my spare tire is I should be able to float like a boat when in a pool or lake, but I can't float worth a flip! I go under like a big rock, so can't figure out what this pile of blubber is good fore? I'm going to find me a couple of really thin people and give them some extra pounds to share. have you ever stopped to think about all the money we have tied up in our belly's? if I only had one third of the money I have spent on over eating? I would be filthy, nasty rich! the dun lap disease and i got it as well! > Ever heard of the dun lap disease? well this is where your belly gets so > large that it lays over in your lap. Guest guest
I know. I really try to cut down but today I just felt stared when I got up. I had 2 scrambled eggs, then a bowl of cereal, Fiber One with a few rice Krispies mixed in it, then later a pork chop with a few onion rings, and tonight a bite of sub sandwich and a piece of pizza. I am surprised I am so full I stopped at one piece. I will try to have only one per day. It takes me a smaller amount now to feel wasted and full beyond belief. But I also get gnawing hunger at times. I guess it is crazy just being diabetic almost a year now. But then there is the matter of the 35 or so pounds. But I think if you guys who have a hundred or more to lose I should be able to lose 30 anyway. But old habits die hard. I am going to have to go on insulin if I don't quit this crap. My oral meds are just nog going to cut it. the dun lap disease and i got it as well! > > > Ever heard of the dun lap disease? well this is where your belly gets > so > > large that it lays over in your lap. Guest guest
Mark, Good for you for losing that Dunlap belly, but you will probably have left over hanging skin that might have to be removed surgically. As one gets older, one's elastisiticity of the skin becomes less, so the skin does not shrink like the fat does underneath the skin. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Mark Ruth Sent: Wednesday, May 02, 2012 1:36 PM To: blind diabetics Subject: the dun lap disease and i got it as well! Guest guest
now you sure said a mouth full there! it is true that insulin comes after the pills can't keep the diabetes under control. giving in to hunger panes isn't a thing you have to do if your diet is the right types of food. I should know this as well as the best of them. for more years then I like to admit I was a over eater. I ate as much as I wanted and I ate all the time. I'm now thinking it was more habit then hunger. hardly any of us actually know or understand what true hunger is. we have never had to go day's with out food of some kind. when you eat lots of fresh veggies and cooked veggies, as well as fruit and nuts, seeds, yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs and lean meat with lots of fish. these foods will fill you up and those so called hunger panes you are feeling won't hardly be there at all. I've noticed this over the past 2 months to be a fact. when I ate lots of carbs and as much of it as I thought I wanted, I never stopped craving those same foods. never could I get full no matter how much I ate. When the desire hits me to eat I have a boiled egg or a cucumber sliced up with chicken salad or something low carb as that. of course if you are at an ok weight, then you should be able to eat what you wish, but less of it is the key. weight of any amount can't be lost with out cutting calories first and this means less of what you would normally eat. then you can speed up the weight lost by some type of exercise each day. drink mostly water, but it is ok to have other drinks like diet pop, tea, coffee and a glass of wine or a couple of low carb beers. now this right here is how to lose extra weight and control your diabetes which in turn means taking control of your own choices. none of this will work or can work if you haven't yet made up your mind to control your choices each day you live. doing the same thing hoping for different results is what most over eaters has done most of there over eating life. It doesn't much matter if you are 35 pounds over weight or 135. the same plan works for both or the same over eating and not controlling your daily life also works the same. the quicker you realize this to be so, then the faster you can turn your out of control life around. I all most ran out of time my self. the heart doctor told me the A fib this last time 2 months back just about caused me to depart from this life in this body. I never had a clue I was that close to the deaths door step. of course like they told me and I will tell you the same thing. it is your life and only you and I are the one's who have to make up our minds and change our bad eating habits and lack of exercise. it really is for a fact all in your attitude. get that right and the rest I can assure you is a walk in the park! the dun lap disease and i got it as well! > > > Ever heard of the dun lap disease? well this is where your belly gets > so > > large that it lays over in your lap. Guest guest
Thanks, Mark. I guess some days are better than others. has had only 3 20 ounce bottles of ginger ale since Monday morning. He has had a sip or two of his Nutrition Shakes Plus tonight which is something like Insure only made by Walgreens. The doctor wants him to have 3 per day if he is not eating solid foods. He gets about one and maybe an instant breakfast made with 2 percent milk because that is what we buy so I am not having whole milk. We try to have a half gallon last for about a week and sometimes a little more. I don't know how he does it either and he can have as many calories as he can take in. But he is lying in bed all of the time now so does not need to burn as many calories. But he catches every flu bug or whatever crawls around. He has all kinds of pills but the only supplement he has been prescribed is magnesium and that is to help with bed sores or whatever. Debbie, our daughter got us some vitamin siupplements and I should go back to taking them. After reading that artile it looks like it would be helpful. the dun lap disease and i got it as well! > > > > > Ever heard of the dun lap disease? well this is where your belly gets > > so > > > large that it lays over in your lap. Guest guest
well how interesting. maybe I could use it as a built on sack to carry stuff in? no more need for a belly bag with a made on bag like this you are speaking of. how cool! I suppose it may cause me to still look fat, but if I opened it up to show all my wares, then every one would soon want one of there own. the dun lap disease and i got it as well! Ever heard of the dun lap disease? well this is where your belly gets so large that it lays over in your lap.
