Whoo-hoo!! Now that is encouraging. If mine did that I would think I

needed a new meter!

well I can tell you for a fact that this time in February my numbers were all

running over 300 and in the 400's half of that time. now once they put me on the

Novalog flex pen it took only 2 weeks to bring those same numbers down to and

under 120 and that is where they have been now for six weeks with only 5 times

over 120. plus those 5 times they were over was still under 150. I'm so proud of

me that I got a hurt arm now from trying to pat my back to much. I all most got

a big head, but to cheap to buy a new hat, so I calmed down and still got that

money.

You've earned bragging rights, Mark!

I'm betting your A1C in June will show some marked improvement. Keep it up since

you're an encouragement to all of us. And, when your doctor sees what is

possible, he/she will also be encouraged. If your doctor is like mine, he/she

doesn't see too many diabetics with good control.

it truly is a fact that I no longer over eat anything I eat. every bite is

planed each day and the plan spells success!

Re: I just have to brag just a bit!

Incredible, Mark, really incredible!! Whenever you brag, you are

not eating. hahahahaha

that is exactly what he told me the first and only time I have seen him.

can't spell his name, so he is Dr. E. he said he would start me out at 20 units

twice a day, but in 2 weeks after he seen my numbers he would need to adjust the

dose higher. I told him that wasn't going to happen. I have faxed my numbers to

him 3 times so far since the first of March and he has lowered my dose each

time. the A1C of 13 has to come down with numbers like I have had and the weight

of 312 that day in his office will as well come down. hard work and sticking to

a game plan does really work! makes me wonder all the time why I was so hard

headed to not get with the program long ago? I suppose lots of people down

through history could ask them self the very same q and not have any better

answer then I have. some of us are slow on the up take and I'm certainly one of

these. well can't undo the past. can do better to day though and now I have

piled up 2 months of yesterday's with grate results. it is all about tying days

together in a line. it starts with a few meals, then a few days and then a few

weeks! then weeks turn in to a streen of months. this has been one of my down

falls in my over eating past. I never would tie more then a couple of days

together in a row before I just gave up. of course I will have set backs, we all

do. life is just like this. it isn't perfect and we fall and make mistakes, but

the winners are us who pick our self back up, dust off and return to the trail,

determined not to allow the fall to keep us down and out. they say life is 10%

of what happens to us in life and the other 90% is how did we deal with it? was

what happen to us in control or was we in control? It's only to hard to over

come if this is our attitude we have. if you think you can't do a thing, then

chances are you won't. If there is a will, then there will be a way. my attitude

sucked so loud for so long, but God left me here long enough to find the right

attitude to have. it may not be so for others. we all have just so much life to

live and then our number is called. no one knows the day or the time. most will

still have lots of dreams and plans when there number is called. how many times

was my attitude, I will do that to morrow. many folks who now lay in grave yards

across this nation had the same attitude and there will be more joining them. so

why put off to morrow what you should do to day? how do you or I know we will

have a to morrow?

Well Mark, I am really identifying a lot with wha tyou are saying, and

much wisdom there. I cont on today also, as yesterday isn't always

worth a repeat, but today is a clean slate and much hoope. But it is

hard at times not to depnd on tomorrow rather than today. oh, dangerous

game!
